Chrissy Teigen’s daughter Luna is bidding her mom’s “boobies” farewell.
The supermodel, 34, revealed on Instagram Thursday that she underwent surgery to have her breast implants removed. Teigen said her procedure “went perfectly,” aside from some residual pain, and shared a special pick-me-up she received from her kids.
“So so so so so sore but waking up to this made it go away for half a minute at least,” Teigen captioned a picture of her daughter’s hilarious handwritten card.
In her best penmanship, Luna, 4 – Teigen’s eldest child with singer John Legend – wrote: “Have fun pulling your boobies out.” On the other side, Luna added: “Bye Boobies.”
“The note I woke up to is the absolute best part,” Teigen added on Twitter.
Teigen and Legend also share 2-year-old son Miles, who may be responsible for the adorable mermaid sticker that adorned the homemade get well soon note.
Teigen first revealed in a March interview with Glamour UK that she had a breast augmentation when she was 20.
“It was more for a swimsuit thing,” said Teigen, who made her modeling debut in the coveted Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 2010. “I thought, if I’m going to be posing, laid on my back, I want them to be perky! But then you have babies and they fill up with milk and deflate and now I am screwed.”
That led the supermodel to “want them out now.”
“They’ve been great to me for many years but I’m just over it,” she wrote on Instagram in May. “I’d like to be able to zip a dress in my size, lay on my belly with pure comfort! No biggie! So don’t worry about me! All good. I’ll still have boobs, they’ll just be pure fat. Which is all a (boob) is in the first place. A dumb, miraculous bag of fat.”
